  • Civil Aviation Road Show in London, for leasing of four international airports on 19 April 2002.

  • Fourth Meeting of the India-UK Round Table, London (26-28 April 2002).

  • ESC-organised Indian IT participation, mostly by SMEs, in OutsourceWorld London at London Arena on 24-25 April 2002.

  • EEPC-organised INDIATECH (bringing together 116 Indian engineering enterprises under a single pavilion) as part of a major sub-contracting exhibition Subcon2002 at Birmingham from 29 April-2 May 2002.

  • Selfridges 'Bollywood Promotion' in May 2002 aimed at promoting Indian retail products through the superstore in London and Manchester. Inauguration on 02 May.

  • Indian Mango Promotion Campaign with APEDA in May 2002. Launch Dinner at Bombay Brasserie on 09 May. In Selfridges, it got underway on 07 May. Many Indian restaurants hosted events.

  • Indian Tea promotion at various upper-end and high street outlets by the Tea Board of India. High Tea at Savoy at Strand from March-May 2002. Promotions in Scotland in October 2002.

  • Study Tour by Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal 5-11 May 2002.

  • NELP-III Road Show with Minister and MoS for Petroleum and Natural Gas and a senior MNPG-ONGC-DGH team at Crowne Plaza St. James's on 6-7 June 2002.

  • Visit by Minister of Civil Aviation (11-14 June 2002).

  • Visits by the Chief Minister of Haryana (20-22 June, 5-8 September and 14-16 November 2002).

  • Visit by Minister of Power (20-26 June 2002); signing of an inter-governmental MoU on cooperation in power and NTPC Road Show on power sector in India.

  • Manchester Commonwealth Games where India won a record haul of 72 medals. Commonwealth Games Business Club events included an India lunch and seminars/ events on ICT, textiles, food industry, etc.
